this is my submission. i try to approach orchestral layout for choir and strings. and lead vocal it self make me a lil confuse in hi freq, i think there's some resonance from recording room or something and choose to reject the band a lil wide after try with combing filter :D overall this is was dif...

You need to interact, you have to trust your gut instincts. There doesn't need to be a rule for that like "you have to" or "you mustn't". Don't be shy, just do it, gather the experience. What's the worst that can happen? The client saying "no dice!", and that's it. But...

Nice discussion about muting some instrument. I agree if too much accoustic guitar play same pattern is not efficient (in my style), and i was consider to further discussion with the "client" (song provider) about that before i submit. but i'm doubt to do it, because theres no rules about ...
