Darn it, I was going to take a break from competitions for a little while, but this might bring me back for an SWC challenge this month! Erm, can I just post this track that I did a couple of years ago?!!! (Kidding - I won't! ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eltmBkGMO9k Anyway - yeah, I might...

Re: SONGWRITING COMPETITION - SWC019 March 2019 - Winners announced

Delighted to extend my felicitations to the well-deserved winners. A pretty clear margin there at the top, very well done!

The datasheet is hypnotic - I can't stop watching! :)

See you again another month - this month's theme is 100% NOT for me!

Aghhh, ruddy Nora I'm now wondering whether I should read more the ideas behind the pieces, I guess I'm learning lessons in this :) No worries! Yeah, there are many interesting aspects to the competition. These were my ideas, but if my music didn't speak to *you* in the same way as a listener, it m...

I've just updated my Excel/Calc score sheet, and only ANTHEMIC seems to be missing from the votes. There is still 1,5 hours left for feedback and the final top 12. The topic "voting/feedback" has been addressed several times at this point, most notably here: https://mix-challenge.com/forum/viewtopi...

montaine What can I say, the perfect soundtrack to a blackout related movie. I love the soundscape you create, I can totally imagine the scene in my mind and it's very well executed. The transitions are well done and I love the creativity you've shown with the sounds (that you recorded yourself). E...

The Ted Mountainé Orchestra - Who Knew? Really like the doom start with all the elements of a day surrounding the intro. Strings offer a warm texture, then the slam, it starts to build, but it doesn't seem to go beyond, for some reason I was expecting a hi intensity beat to elevate the whole piece ...

General thoughts First of all, I'd like to say that you have all put in an excellent effort here. It makes it all very hard. As a casual listener, I rarely feel the need to grade music - it is what it is, and most music has a quality or a purpose that somehow makes it interesting to me - "good" or ...

Downloaded the tracks for some first impressions on today's walk. But it's so sunny outside - I somehow feel like I should listen to this playlist on a dark, rainy day! If you download my track, please use the direct "bytehop" links to get the proper naming convention - I don't think I labelled my S...
