The low end of kick and bass are generally non directional. If you try to spread them, they're either less loud or less efficient. You CAN spread them and be artistic, but you're usually just making a track that is less loud or less efficient.

Hi All, This is my first time here too. First post…and my first mix. I’m a hobbyist, but I do really enjoy mixing.
