Congrats SeanieLloyd
Cool demonic vocal effect, was it reversed vox or something else?
I liked those suprising stops.

Chriswilson83 : You say: "I like how you’ve made pretty much the entire backing again (only keeping piano/vocal, and a little guitar/bass in the middle) but some of the vocal lines aren’t time with the music."

Some timings have been changed from the timings they had from before - but they are in sync with the remix. So the changes are made deliberately. But you decide if you like them or not... ;)

Fair enough, personally though I thought it sounded like the vocal line was trying to keep up with the music at times.

Congrats to the winner, and thanks for the feedback. I really enjoyed listening to the remixes (much more than all the mixes from the MC). Hope this RMX challenge gets a little more popular.

For the record, that’s not the choir playing the “incorrect” note. I spent some time searching for it... but it was definitely still there when choir was muted. Ultimately I think it was a result of the delay carrying on a bit too long there and clashing with the fundamental of an upcoming avoid tone without the benefit of progression, but had to go on vacation so submitted as is.

Now on the beach listening to all these mixes, thought I would give some feedback to encourage everyone to do the same. This is just a quick reaction as I listened to everyone’s contribution on my cell.

jpachoulli- good mix, thought your remixed contributions were a little generic for such a unique song.

shroom feverish- loves this, wish you would have tied your craziness into the song a little better, rather than replacing the song entirely with craziness.

Olli H- loved everything you did, just thought the song was being pulled in too many directions.

SeanieLloyd- probably the right remix won, just wish you’d have done something bigger coming out of the second verse... I was waiting for it, and it kind of fell flat in that spot IMHO.

Morganiz- I loved your tonal choices, and background noises. Your cadence/timing didn’t really fit my sense of aesthetic, neither did the reverb on the vocals. The vocoder-ish effect on the vocal was cool, but I would have used it to highlight key words like “ghost” and “phantom” rather than let it go on for that entire section of the song.
