I'm working on track too. I will upload it probably in last day since I just started making it this saturday. I'm skipping next KVR OSC round in order to have some fun with my kontakt libraries and I hope some more tracks pops out during those last days.

The metel you say...? Hows about a bit of downtuned riffage?

Been messing with this on and off a couple of months really so not totally new, but I've redone some guitars and some singing, plus arranged it slightly differently, mixed it better, so it's now finally finished..!

http://www.bennyleeds7.myfreeola.uk/swc ... kshire.mp3

The gubbins;

Line 6 Variax geetar in various modes Les Paul, dobro, banjo (yes, it does the banjo...) in the baritone tuning. SoftAMP Flextron for the left distorted guitar, Guitar Rig for the other. Flextron for the solo.
Steven Slate Drums 4
NI Scarbee Rickenbacker bass
Tambourine loops I recorded
Some samples of tolling bell and crickets chirping from teh internet for the clichéd spaghetti western metel intro.
Unhinged singing about the area where I work (Harehills, it's totally mental! :hihi: )

Hey ! I really like this one, reminds me a lot of Audioslave vibe :D Love the guitar riff, it's a killer. Really good job on the overall mix too

Cheers. I do like the metel, but can never usually seem to write any good riffs, so lord knows where that one came from (some might say ..Whitesnake... :hihi: ). That'll be it for a few years again no doubt..

Hi everyone!
Lots of fun with this month´s theme.
So here´s our metal song called: ETERNAL BLACKNESS
WAV:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/eorvgg4p2szt1 ... s.wav?dl=0
MP3:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ybbwd1z8i5eme ... s.mp3?dl=0

WHEN THE NIGHT COMES
THE ULTIMATE DARKNESS
FEELS THE ROOTS
OF THE GRAVEYARD MADNESS

SHE WILL SHOW AT NIGHT
TO COLLECT YOUR LIFE
DEADLY KISS
WHILE THE MOONLIGHT PRANCES
YOU WILL SEE HER TWICE
AND HER VEIL WILL SLIDE
YOU´LL BE READY FOR
THE ETERNAL BLACKNESS

PULSING GRAVES
WITH THE ROTTEN DANCERS
OPEN TOMBS
WILL RELEASE THE ANSWER

SHE WILL SHOW AT NIGHT
TO COLLECT YOUR LIFE
DEADLY KISS
WHILE THE MOONLIGHT PRANCES
YOU WILL SEE HER TWICE
AND HER VEIL WILL SLIDE
YOU´LL BE READY FOR
THE ETERNAL BLACKNESS

HE HEARD HER CALL
AND OPENED HER GRAVE
THERE SHE WAS:
THE BEAUTIFUL
DECAPITATED CORPSE BRIDE
HE TOOK THE DEADLY KISS
AND TOOK HER HEAD WITH HIM
AND SO THEY LIVED
FOREVER

I composed, recorded and mixed the song. I also played the bass, guitar and synth parts.
Lisa did the vocals and the creepy voices and together we wrote the lyrics.
It´s influenced by italian horror movies (Bava, Fulci, Lenzi, D´Amato, Soavi, Argento) and the shock rock and industrial metal genres, which we love.
There´s something about cult horror movies and metal that goes hand by hand :)

Recorded and mixed entirely in the box using:
-Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
-Laptop
-Gibson Les Paul
-Tagima bass
-Ableton Live 10
-TH3 metal edition
-Druminator free
-Synthmaster 2
-And a couple of freebies.
Hope you like our song!
Dedicated to my metal brother Chelo, who passed away last sunday. RIP hermano!
All the best,
GIANCARLO

A friendly reminder:
We're in the final 24 hours to submit your production.

The mix doesn't need to be super polished. Most important is, that you had fun. The clock is still ticking, would love to see more than 7 participants this month.

Here, have some power metal!

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4bjubv3ksitzz ... n.wav?dl=0

NSFW but only because I curse a little in the second verse. Also I can't sing so I apologize for that. You all are just going to have to deal with it! I started writing this song in my head on Nov 5 and started recording it on Nov 11.

Instruments used:
Shreddage SRP and IBZ with Thermionik
Amplesound Fender precision bass with EZMix Aggro Bass preset
Superior drummer 2
Kontakt factory library
Synthmaster player
Shure pg 58 mic

Little man has got a plan
To replace the parts of the human race
He don't desire with a cage
made of blood, steel, and barbed wire
He takes your guns, from every side
The borders are closed. You got nowhere to hide
He's closing in, he's moving higher
But mostly he's diseased

What will you do when the chaos in your mind
reaches out and leaves you blind to the problems of your kind?
Will you reach for your guns or will you turn tail and run?

When you're sitting alone and there's no way to atone,
Will you cry out to the gods you've abandoned?
Will you replace all the hatred in your soul?
Will you get right with the times, or will you pay for your crimes?
And will you finally realize that it's not about you?

Smaller man, he's got no plan
Shoots from the hip, just makes up shit
He's a liar and a snake
He's got his own problems with the human race
He's got machines spewing fire
At his enemies, the press disease
He's moving out, he's shooting higher
But mostly he's diseased

What will you do when it catches up to you
and the chaos in your mind reaches out and leaves you blind
To the problems that you make and the hate that you create

Here's my best attempt at Metal - a sort of angsty-ish song with some electric guitars. That's what Heavy Metal is, right?

No, I don't know much about heavy metal, but I figured it would still be good to submit something, so here's my attempt: a song called "Fighting Gravity." I hope you like it:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/r6ia7tdvhsxnx ... v.wav?dl=0

Recorded & mixed in Studio One.

Acoustic Guitar recorded with Blue Spark mic & EV10 mic
Vocals recorded with Blue Spark mic
Electric Guitar (Squire Strat) recorded straight in the box
Piano, Bass & pads using Presence synths
Pro-Drummer MT drum synth

Lyrics:

I lay my weapons down
Throw my hands in the air
'cause, though I think I'm right,
I know this fight's not fair

Chorus:
'Cause fighting you is like fighting gravity
I never win, I just fall reluctantly
So maybe it's time that I face the truth
That this battle's won, oh, it's won
But it's won by you

And so you hold your ground
Like a bull, you stand strong
A stone wall to push down
Though you know that you're wrong

(Chorus)

And I know that it's hard to admit
That you're not as smart as you might think
Yeah, I know that it's hard to confess
You were wrong all along

(Chorus)
