The part that puzzles me is: why so few submissions? Including mine, we have a grand total of...2!
Only 4 days into a 22 days contest, I don't find this strange at all.

I like your snare
Thanks! I used the Abbey Road J37 on it and that seemed to make it a little more exciting that what I had at that point. I think it helped really bring the stereo reverb on more too life too. Something I will definitely try again in the future.

Here is my mix. Thanks for the music. I enjoy listening to it a lot. The hardest for me is to find a good guitar to anchor the rhythm and the bottom end to match with the driving beat.
I really like the sound of the Toms at the beginning of this mix and the feel of the kick. I think you overall shaped the kit quite nicely.

Hi to all.

Today I've been doing the mix of this song. Great song and great guitars.

I've done reamp on guitars. In rhythmic guitars I used a Laney Ironheart IRT-Studio. On solo guitars I used Bias Fx and Eleven on Pro Tools. There is no particular reason for the reamp. I just wanted to play a little.

Any opinions are welcome. And if anyone wants me to explain something particular about my mix it will be a pleasure to respond.

Sorry for my bad english.

Cheers and good luck for all.

Don't sweat it, I know how to handle a fader. None of the mixes will be judged softer than the other ones.
If you want to mix loud/soft be my guest. I would focus on impact more than loudness if you ask me.
