So I think you are allowed to use samples.

Absolutely! DRUM SAMPLES HAVE BEEN PROVIDED, doesnt it mean that you should work with THESE samples? =/ I'm absolutely sure you have to work with them. Not replacing.

I dont know ))) I'm really fresh one here, but as I understand it, it is like that. May be I'm wrong, thats why I'm asking :) Of course i'd better use own samples, but as I understand it it is forbidden.

Yeah I think you are right.
But for me it would be more interesting if everybody could use his own samples.
In my opinion the mix would be more individual

As I understand, thats is the aim, to have really narrow bondaries, and to work within it :) There is idea for the next step - mix using only free plugins :)

And I'm sorry for this little flood here.

Yes, use the material that is provided please.
Because this is the "core sound design" of the client.

If you use your own samples, or have used them and submitted your production already, make explicitly clear which samples you used, and to which ratio as this could be a clear knock-out criterion.

Drum Triggering is not mean to be 1:1 "replacements" for drums, but 10-15% supplements - if even needed. In this case, the client had a focus on having a great sound to begin with (see his documentation) - not a "trash bin garage kit" that needs the help of triggered drums.

And what about this huge master bus treatment? Can we do like that? :) I suppose we can't, but waiting for your answer :)

There is an "Addendum" for that in the Q&A and Gossip Area
http://mix-challenge.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20

TL;DR version:
keep it tasteful with as many tools as you need, don't overdo things.
Actual mastering (loudness corrections, dithering, limiting of the maximum signal strength) is a different process however
