Hey, thanks for this opportunity. Here's my version:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xrcm3l5jdjoye ... v.wav?dl=0

Tried to go for something quite defined so did quite some lowcuts where possible to create space for all the details of the production and to be able to create some depth in the mix. I wanted a solid drum-bass foundation, treated the second bass (the "answering" one) more like a baritone-guitar to differentiate from other basstracks and to accentuate it's surf/western-feel. I chose to emphasize the female voice and have the male vocal in support, and tried to get intimate upclose vocals which i thought went well with the quite cool, understated performance.
Plugins used: Along with my usual goto plugins i tried out some airwindows plugins and some of them stayed on.
Automation: intro builds up to 1'15" where in the reverbtail things go full wide. Volume builds up in last instrumental part to take the song to the end, and other small interventions...
Hope you enjoy! (feedback very welcome and returned)

Hello everyone,

Here is my mix.

mp3: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XtIJH ... pFLCo0jEPp
wav: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dRQTN ... tgfJBHvcCt

So i've EQ'd almost every track. Compressed the drums (single track and a parallel bus compressor).
On the bass intro i added a delay.
The vocals EQ, compressor and reverb and panning.
The guitars just EQ and panning.
The bass solo has a little flanger.
A ping pong delay on the shaker.
Delay on the perc loop track.
Doubled the steelpan.

Most of the mixing time went into EQing and volume adjustments.

Thanks to the band for providing these tracks! Had a lot of fun mixing them.

Hello everybody !

Great tune !
My focus was on clean, good separated sound, so i did some high passes on low heavy tracks and groups.
Recognized bass guitar as the instrument which drives the song and exagreggated some parts. Obviously the solo parts and some nice riffs.
Added space and movement to lead guitars and some "Edge'ish" delay to the rhythm guitars as well.
Panned cymbal tracks differently in parts as i recognized that only one cymbal was used during drums programming.

Hi Folks,

thanks to GreenDog for this interesting challenge! Never did that genre before, so I really mixed 3 weeks long on this challenge...

My submission: WAV

Mixed ITB in ProTools.
PlugIns are: FabFilter Q3 and Pro-R, Decapitator, Flux BitterSweet; ProTools StockPlugins: EQ, BF-86, DeEsser, Delay.
EQd almost every track, except the synths.

Drums:
Used a lot of BitterSweet on the drums to shape the transients. Decapitor on Kicks, some of the Snares and the Ride.

Bass:
EQ, Comp, Decapitator

Git:
EQ, some with Comp and Decapitator

Keys:
Little delay on the Piano1. Comp on Piano2.

Vox:
Used Melodyne to make BgVox match the lead. DeEsser, Comp and Decapitator on all of them.
Reverb and delay on the lead. Used heavy DeEsser on the delay.

SoundScap: Stereo widener.

Screenshots can be delivered on demand.

Good luck to everybody!

Cheers,
Arne
Jerze

Notes on the way :nutter:

Well I just tried to make things jump out of the speakers. I used Reaeq a lot
I used devil loc a little here and there not much on the drums. Not a lot of compressors used
Used some scheps omni on a few tracks. I didn’t have a lot of time so it turned into a speed mix.
If you have any thoughts or questions let me know.Jerze
