James, what are you doing with your low end? It sounds so good! I'm not able to replicate it. Can you post a few screenshots?

Big thank you for picking me for round 2!

I tried to fit the kick a little better into the mix.
Worked around that stereo flip in the opening synth by narrowing the stereo field and applying some pan lfo.
Adjusted the vocals a little, especially second verse and closing.
The synth part after the chorus:
I had treated this part with automation to gradually grow into the next section.
My approach was that this gradual build (mostly in the effects) moves the song along in a nice way (it sounded a bit static to me without the build).
That is why possibly the initial impact may have been a bit weak. I tried to fix that as much as I could while at the same time saving some juice for the build-up.

Here's my round 2 mix:

Thanks again, cheers, and good luck to everyone!

Thanks again for R2 and your Feedback! Here is my new mix. I corrected the intro synth with the panning effect (switched to mono and panned left).
The formants of the vocals have been shifted up with Antares Mutator. I don’t really dig the result but the original tracks have tuning issues. I also tried the sample rate conversion thing but there must be something else happened to the tracks IMO.
The piano has more high mids dialed in and the blip synth in the chorus is more audible now.

Thanks @nealgiedd, pleased you liked it!

There is a bit of transient boost and some low end added to the kick.
The bass is split into two, both have compression, one with a boost at 80Hz and cut at 400Hz, the other high passed at about 250Hz with some modulation effects. Keeps the low end focussed but makes it more interesting on the mid range.
Then I've got the bass ducking everytime the kick hits so that it pumps with the groove.
Finally a bit of a Putec thing with the low end on the master channel, cleans some mud and reinforces the sub information.

I'll see if I can upload some screenshots.

Hi everybody, hi Mr Fox,

Thank you so much Dima510 for the wild card, I am honored and pleased to send you my R2.

I think I have improved the aspects you told me about, I mostly changed volume automations but I think it really sounds better now. Thanks for your detailed feedback!

Now it is time to release the mix:

Here it is, my revision of the mix. I started of course with the comments from the songprovider. Then I noticed a lot more room for improvement. A lot of small adjustments, eq, volume level, fx and automations all added up to make a fuller and bigger sound. I had a lot of fun mixing this song.

Thanks for selecting me for round 2!

I implemented all the recommended changes.

For vocals, I wanted them to be a little thicker, so I added Variety of Sound BootEQmkIII and added some lows. Then I compressed them a couple more dB with a low ratio/low threshold. I also added a .9 semitone formant shift to get closer to the original formats.

The ending keeps a fade out with vocals and piano, but I added a different reverb and delay to sort of create coming out of a dream. I also left the doubled vocal in slightly longer than the previous mix.
