Thanks @JeroenZuiderwijk for all the time you passed to analyse all the mixes, and your precious feedback ;).
I didn't check the phase issue of the guitars. I'm no used to work with a lot of guitar tracks. I will look after this to understand this problem for future mixes.

Thanks again @Mister Fox for the organisation of the mix contests !

And good luck for the participants of the round 2 !

See ya in a future challenge :)
Hi Yann, it is mostly a feeling, I don't think now they are out of phase. After listening to the mix a couple of times I think it is due to the stereo panning and the specific guitar amp sound. Somehow there is a phaselike sensation in my headphones in the high fequencies. Like an ultrawide sensation kind of thing.

Wow! One hell of job, thanx @JeroenZuiderwijk for the feedback on all those mixes.
Reading the feedback I see I made a mistake ... I thought you were the drummer .... :face:
but seriously, thanx for the feedback. The music is in the mids .... something to pay more attention too.

Good luck to those in round 2,

Thanks for the feedback @JeroenZuiderwijk ! Impressive how you managed to listen to so many mixes is such a short time.

Your comment is pleasing me because even if I didn't manage to do it better, you did understand the sound I was aiming for and for that I'm glad !

Good luck to the 15 selected and also thanks to @Mister Fox for organizing the contest ^^

Hi @JeroenZuiderwijk thank you for letting me through R2! When I saw your feedback I instantly recognised the errors, it is too thin overall. So I thickened the low end on a few instruments and lowered the HPF to let more through. Also lowered the reverb on the guitar and I hope I corrected them to your satisfaction. I made some other minor tweaks and hope they are also to your satisfaction too, and think I have also addressed the loudness issue.

I would also like to say, its been a while since I participated and as a participant who has not got past the first round before, I think its fantastic that you have taken the time to give everyone a little feedback, developing our skills from constructive feedback is why most of us enter, so think you deserve the very grateful praise you have been receiving for that!

@Mister Fox My apologies for being a little dumb on this, but I am not sure how to request the use of the wildcard, so obviously here is a heads up that I would like to use it now ;0)

Hello to everyone !

Thanks @JeroenZuiderwijk for your feedback and thank you for choosing me for r2 on top of a lot of good mixes !

Here is my R2:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1X-VQkD ... sp=sharing

Changes:

1 dB less on 3K shelf (2bus) to reduce overall brightness.
Fixed noticeable drop in volume after the first and the second ‘allright.
Little less “click” on drums and added some 1k for some “meat”.

Once again thank you all and good luck !
