Hadn't really planned on putting up an entry this month, but I just finished off a new one called "Summer Soul/Winter Mind" so thought what the hell. Sorry for another rock tune, but that's just what needed to be written at the time
Probably a bit more of a standard arrangement as opposed to what I've currently been doing, but I think it's what was needed to get to the point.

Cheers and good luck.

Stay back, when it beats upon your door
Stay back, never leave my side
Lay back, I've been waiting here so long
Lay back, never leave my sight

This sweet thing dies, and walked out with my summer soul
You'll never know you'll never see
My empty winter mind

Stay back, now the beast is through the door
Be still, he's right by your side
Lay back, now the beast is inside you
Don't worry. he's only here for evermore

This sweet thing dies, and walked out with my summer soul
You'll never know you'll never see
My empty winter mind

Truth
Lies
Deception

Fills me with dread contemplating existence

Misery
Ruination
Extinction

Keeps me running away

Stay back, when it beats upon your door
Stay back, never leave my side
Lay back, I've been waiting here so long
Lay back, never leave my sight

This sweet thing dies, and walked out with my summer soul
You'll never know you'll never see
My empty winter mind

Sounding good Nige.

Getting there with something now - some 60s/90s jangle with slight 'borrowing' (cough) from the Byrds and Beatles. Just got to finish the lyrics and do some crooning. Had a lot of fun using the 12 string setting on my fancy arse, new-ish, Line 6 Variax geetar. It's not massively authentic, but does the job and is cheaper than a rickenbacker and a whole lot easier to tune... :hihi:

Cheers Donkey. "Byrds and Beatles", you've peaked my interest. Looking forward to hearing that Variax.

Wellll..more jangly Britpop with a 60s tinge I think...Time to stop messing with this before it gets even more daft with the vocal effects;

A friendly reminder:
Including today, 7 days left to submit your production.

Can we exceed 5, ideally even 7 participants this month? That would be great!
