Very punchy sound, I liked the idea when going out of the intro. Very nice Snare. I also liked the chorus on the lead gtrs. I can tell you focused mostly on the drums as they sound very nice.
On the other hand, the guitars are too low except for some very specific places. The bass guitar is also a little low, during the speed section you can barely hear it. I can hear some clipping in the kick, which I assume is intentional, but it ends up being a little too much, not because it sounds bad, but because in interferes with me trying to listen to what the guitars are doing. And lastly, I can hear some low level pink noise during the intro break that you crafted so well.

I can't comment on your section work as the balance is off and my comments would not be objective. So on summary: I like your drum sound, and I like the intro break idea. I would suggest you work on the balance and on trying to enhance the vision of the track.

Cheers.
Thank you very much for the detailed review man, appreciate the effort!

Thanks for the feedback once again, it was clarifying.

So I was pretty conservative with the changes. I took away some of the mud of the bass around 100 and 300 Hz, and that gave a little room to bump it up on the lower frequencies. Then I took away a couple db until it felt right.
For the guitar issue, I did a combination of both things. I used a plugin named "parallel particles" from waves that does several things under the hood, and that already gave them some definition and volume. Also, the lead guitar had a 1/16 delay on it, so I automated it to change to 1/8 on the "actual solo" parts, where the guitar should be more distinctive. That helped getting some of the delay out of the way while keeping the benefits of it.

I was A/B-ing the mix and the revision, and there's not a huge difference. But, if you listen for these two things, the bass is still there but feels less muddy and the lead guitars stand out without feeling an obvious volume bump compared to the first version. Hope I found the sweet spot and you're pleased by the adjustments. Cheers!

Hey folks.

Thank you for taking time for all those refklections on all the mixes.

Here is my second entry.

Allright. I bought myself a nice soundtoys bundle and used radiator on guitars and took some earlier eqings out, especially on solosguitars. I crushed the DrRoom mic a lot, and i liked it. Also i de-mudded the guitars with this supernice TDR Nova. Also i used CLA76 on Drums in parallel. I leveled it here and there. In the end, it is very close to the first entry.

Second entry: my mix was too sharp.
Therefore I did some eq correction on the guitars.
I also turned down the volume of my mix because it was too loud compared to others.

Hello everybody,
once again thanks to Badinella for his sharp and informative comments.
Outside the competition obviously since I already sent my mix round 2, I could not help but resume my mix round 2 by changing the last 3 seconds of the piece in response to the comment of Badinella: justice is returned to the composer!
wear well all
