Ladies and Gentlemen, here are the results of Songwriting Competition 12

 The winners podium consists of:
  1. donkey tugger (48 pts)
  2. MOA22 (47 pts)
  3. Nige (40 pts)
Sadly not everyone has voted, we had no ties, <4 participant rule not in use (staff comments and votes)
We have one disqualification (Dr.Acula, due to lack of participation during the voting process)
"Sole (License) Winner" rule applies

 Criticism: The given feedback is really, really sparse in places (still). Please read the Rules and Guidelines again, and please invest more time for the next challenge.

Here are the results as chart in image form:

Thank you so much for your participation.

 License selection:

We'll now perform with the usual. Since the "Sole (License) Winner" rule applies, only the top spot can select something from the license pool. Selecting licenses is handled in public, please. After that, please get in touch with me (via PM) with your contact data. In case of the "Bjulin Waves" sponsorship - the winners podium can additionally select one "Inspire Me" package on top of the license selection (please mention that in the PM).

As usual - you're not forced to pick up anything. You can pass and therefore offer more to select for the next person in line (if there is a spot existing / not available for "sole winner" mechanic). Just let all participants/winners/the staff know in a timely manner.

Feedback about the "Songwriting Competition" is welcome (please do so here).

See you in in the next Challenge!

Congrats Donkey !
Cheers- very close!

I've got quite a few things software wise (and a couple of cheapy guitars!) I've bought recently which I haven't really scratched the surface of yet, so it seems a bit of a waste if I pick a prize at the moment.. Do you want to have a look and see if there's anything you want instead?

You could still get sounds from Bjulin Waves, DT (they're a bonus deal).

Nicely done Donkey T, a well deserved winner, backed up by Moa's equally sick submission. I'm honored to make a humble 3rd place amongst such prestigious songwriting, you dude's faarking rock.
Mix wise (and in common with some other stuff I've heard of yours before) it's nice and clear, but lacking a bit in the, err, 'oomph' at the bottom end - that kick drum is bit weedy for 'eavy rokk - think of Mr Bonham and mix it again!
Isn't it funny what you don't pick up until it's spelled out in black and white by someone else. and you're absolutely 100% correct DT, it's a weak kick and Bonzo would be disgusted.
Thanks bro, will be sorting out in a later mix revision fo sure.

As one of my work colleagues once actually said in a meeting, "it's a wood for trees situation" (I was tempted to go for his throat.... :hihi: ) Happens all the time to me as well - you concentrate so much on one part of a song and completely miss something else obvious.

Ah, had a look, but I don't have any of those plug-ins. Cheers anyhow.
