Hi Gary,
Great to be chosen for Round 2. Glad you enjoy the mix. I went and pulled back some of the low mids on the Vocalise C Pad and Ethera vocals to reduce their thickness. Thank you, looking forward to your feedback.

Hello Gary,
Thanks for the feedback on the mix. I tried to get the middle section to lock in better, but struggled some because of how the section was played with no dynamics so hopefully it’s a little better. Also, I adjusted a few other things along with some more automation Anyway fun style to mix.
Good luck to the other mixers in this second round.

Hi,
from the round 1 feedback in general one thing stood out to me: Gary wants some friggin sparkle! So here you go: less mud, more sparkle
WAV: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1SuGbw ... wE-Xgd8stS
MP3: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1uuA3O ... ZcjOG5YFn1
I asked in Avids support forum for the "complete" plugins, but other than advertised, they are not part of the trial
So this is still done with the aforementioned stock plugins of Slo/Oh No/Bro Tools.
Cheers
Mork

Hello,Wizzo
Good atmosphere on start section. I like the focus on triplets bass on 1st melody section,
good thinking there. 2nd section low synths handled well. Really liking the drum parts,
driving along well. Vocal section well balanced but could be thinned out a little to allow
for bigger ending. Very good end, opening hit drum maybe a touch loud but it's an obvious
finale. Really good work
What I did is
-Tight the low end more.
-Change the intro bass sound completely it's more now cohesive with the other elements. I hope you like it.
-Thinned out a vocal sound for a bigger ending!
-Loudness: -17.3 LUFS, TP Max -1.9 dBTP (By NUGEN), any comments or feedback are most welcome.
My submission for R2.

Gary, thanks for chosing me for round 2!
According to your review I changed the things you've mentioned as described here:
Lead Vocal
I dipped a bit around 700Hz and added a tiny low shelve from 400Hz downwards
Low Synths, 2nd part
Low shelving beginning at around 300Hz
I had to add about 1,5 dB gain in the channel faders where I made changes for loudness compensation. Should be good now
Have fun and good luck to all remaining participants!

Re: MIX CHALLENGE - MC062 February 2020 - Mix Round 2 in evaluation
******************* Results & Winners ***********************
Hi All, Needless to say this was an extremely close run competition and I thought the standard was really high all round
I listened to all 10 entries once through and removed 4 of them for either technical, balance or resonance issues that I wasn't liking too much. The remaining 6 went through again in 5 different sections and marked each one individually on overall sound and feel. This gave me a score out of 100 for each mix and should be noted that the difference between the winner and 6th place was just 9 points! So commiserations to those who didn't get chosen this time around and congrats to our winners who are:
1st place - Mork
2nd place - ShroomFeverish
3rd place - Wizzo
It has been an honour to provide the tracks for this challenge and thank you for taking part.
Please PM for feedback if required although it'll be unlikely to be of much value as the crits were extremely minor.
