I looked at the graffiti and I thought ‘hip hop’, I looked at the colors and I thought some classical music would fit this month theme. So why not a combination.
I think I am not going to change much about the structure….but I think the mix could use some extra work. Especially the low end. I want the bass to be prominent but ot overdoïng it.
The strings are Spitfire Audio LABS. The intro sound is a weird preset from Tal Noisemaker. I also used Triple Cheese synth.

Enjoy!

Dear colleagues and Mister Fox,
I can't participate in the challenge this month because I'm in the hospital and I don't have my computer at hand.
Good luck.
Hi Esteve, that is bad news. Hope you get better soon. I also hope it is nothing too serious. Maybe you can download a DAW on your phone so you can at least enjoy making some music (something that always makes me feel better).
Cheers,
Jeroen

Hi everyone,
@EsteveCorbera sorry to read that! I hope you're fine and you'll be back soon!
@Mister Fox sorry I won't have the time to participate this month...
Good luck to all!

I'm not sure what you use for reference, but on my system alongside my reference tracks, the bass is really overpowering. I'd drop like 1.5-2db off and see what it sounds like, then go from there. I also wouldn't be afraid to layer the strings a little more and throw some countermovement in there.
I like the tune the bridge has some wild melody choices that create a really interesting and unsettling tension! Thanks for sharing it.

@EsteveCorbera I hope your hospital stay has been going smoothly -- get well!
I have a track on the way. It's done -- I just need to tune the loudness. Will upload tomorrow.
Hopefully a few more entries arrive before the deadline.

@EsteveCorbera Hope you're doing well so far!
Will participate, but I can't really decide because I've made several beat sketches. We'll see

Final Entry
Concept and Composition:
► Show Spoiler
The street art theme brought to mind a lot of ideas. The most obvious was to incorporate urban elements into the music. But "street art" also got me thinking about the divide between high-brow and low-brow art, and also art as performance vs. art as self-expression. I believe that, ideally, performance would always be a true expression of self, but as most artists know, that often isn't the case. As someone who often struggles to balance self-expression against audience preferences, I wanted to further explore this duality through the medium itself.
There are two sections. I thought about leaving the first part out of my entry, but I decided the concept would come across better if I included both parts.
Production:
► Show Spoiler
I tried to keep it simple. I played and/or programmed all of the parts -- no drum loops this time around. The footsteps and door opening foley sounds are from a massive CC0 SFX library
available here. I highly recommend checking it out if you need cool sounds for your productions.
Lyrics:
► Show Spoiler
I slip outside
Toss my jacket on a bench
Leave my keys behind
Is there a line?
Between me and mine
Under the lights
The colors they all bleed into the open sky
Where is the line?
Between me and mine
My hands are moving, but do they mean it
My heart is pumping, but does it feel it
My head is thinking, thinking ‘about the time
When I last felt alive
I used to write
A diary of dreams
Pictures from my mind
Is there a line?
Between me and mine
The truth I felt
The world at large
There was no divide
Where is the line?
Between me and mine
My hands are moving, but do they mean it
My heart is pumping, but does it feel it
My head is thinking, thinking ‘about the time
My lips are moving, they surely mean it
My heart is throbbing, can’t you feel it?
My head is spinning, spinning like the time,
When I last felt alive
As always, I appreciate questions and feedback.
Hopefully we get a few more entries. I look forward to hearing yours

A friendly reminder:
We're in the final 24 hours to submit your production.
Please get your production ready and submitted (through the forum)
today.
To make it easier for me to create the collection post, please update your
initial post with the appropriate links (final version), or explicitly mark your entry as "final entry". Please also don't forget to make your files accessible to download. Thank you.
We currently have 03 entries so far
In order to get our usual 3-position podium started, we need to reach / exceed 09 active entries. If we can exceed 15 entries this month, I'm opening up the podium size.
Looking forward to more entries throughout the day.

Hi Rick,
thank you very much for your feedback! I have dropped the bass by about 3dB....still pretty loud I guess.
Cheers,
