Hey FP, sorry for slow rolling you here. A busy work time pulls me away from the fun stuff in life! Honestly I don't think I'd change a thing. I really think mixing is a service industry and beyond the technical side of the process it's all about pleasing the client and responding to feedback and tweaks which you nailed. I don't think any of the top 10 mixes sounded 'wrong', yours was the most right!
Rather than trying to pick holes in a great mix i'd highlight what for me was spot on. I think the technically challenging part of this track was dealing with that low bass with all the reverb on it and yours has a very pleasing low end which never became overbearing. It really ties all the elements together. Personally I'm always scared off by big resonant bass like that and I think that was, to my mind, the biggest difference between the top and lower ranked mixes.
