Hi, my mixes for Round 2:

So these are the changes I've made (basically I followed Fajebru's feedback):

1 - the vocals have been made brighter and a little louder, so now they're not buried so deep into the mix.

2 - the drum reverb is now quieter and less roomy, and I personally think it's a big improvement.

3 - mids have been cut on the snare, so it's less boxy now.

4 - snare in the solo has been made rounder.

I submitted my Round 1 entry more than a month ago, so listening to it now gave me a fresh perspective. I made other tweaks here and there and feel like I managed to make the mix more coherent and less harsh overall. Gotta say it's one of those tracks that taught me a few things in the process of mixing, so thanks to Fajebru and the band!

Hey, thanks for the notes.

I played with the effects on the drums a bit and hopefully achieved a more natural sound.

I also eq'd the guitar delay to blend it in the mix a bit more.

Try to find another reverb for the guitar. the spring reverb you have now is more irritating than that it would add anything to the song. I’m not into the clipping like sound of the toms when hit hard as for example in the middle of the first chorus. Maybe you could find a different style of saturation or get rid of it?

Well damn, I thought the spring reverb was genius.
