I have listened to all mixes made so far. Here are my remarks, you may want to use them before the deadline:
Original mix:
- too much room in the vocals
Photonic:
- too much compression after reverb on the snare, too much compression (ratio) on snare/kick
- guitar is too loud
Canese:
- bass has almost no body in the low mid
EatMe:
- the snare sounds really different (but nice)
AIB:
- lots of effect added (much reverb on the vocals and drums and guitar)
- a little muddy mix because of all the reverb, maybe decrease their wet out
- a little too much low mid body in the snare
Julien Meirone:
- a little too much low mid body in the snare and kick drum and toms, although it can do
Sir Cool:
- the vocals sound too held back in the mix of bass and kick
Nico Caldarulo:
- the master mix sounds too compressed, each sound ducks the other
Jeffs Solo Band:
- the snare sounds really different (a little dull)
- the mix sounds distorted and is missing clarity
Jerze:
- the mix has annoying reverb, like a bath room on the master mix
- the kick drum, hihat, crash (, maybe the guitar) is a bit loud in the mix, missing a solid mix feel
Lugh Senderson:
- a little too much wet reverb on the BVox backing vocals
Paperthin:
- the bass is a little too overpowering in the mix
- the vocals are not loud enough, don't stand out in the mix
Phil:
- the snare sounds really different (but nice)
- the guitar is too loud in the mix
- the tom drums have too much remarkable low mid body in the mix
Raffael Brina:
- the vocals, the kick drum, the final mix, sounds a little dull
- the kick drum is too much squashed in front in the final mix
2024-NOV-01 Info: Thank you everyone, for making MC100 a resounding success. Please show Songwriting Competition 087 the same love.

Beautiful episode, because opinions will be quite contradictory. Good to learn from.
The problem I see is that all those refined and very perfect 3D drum kit images will give the vocals no chance to shine.
We don't have an Abbey Road recording with THE Neumann from the start, and this is the entry condition.
The artist is begging for some repair, as it was comped from very different takes.
No way we can use a magic <famous mixerman name> plugin to gain a world class sound from this geometry.
To me, these spectral AI deverb tools don't tackle the real issues. We can wish more or less reverb here and there, and attempt to make it so.
But this does not touch the power of the performance enough. Things easily begin to sound thin and artificial, and non-organic.
In other words, we can get away with hitech revamping the drums, and with reamping all the guitars, and technically it may be brilliant.
To what use? We can't get away with totally changing the vocals. Here, I have the credo we must capture what the artist has delivered.
And then, support that a little bit, with all the classical techniques that are legit and routine.
Thus, my 2 cents mean to show some nakedness. Reveal what it was, and make it a beautiful gig with a heart and wits.
In history there was quite a number of poor recordings or low-tech mixes that became a #1.
Why is it that some mixes sound as if the band played slower? All the heavy sounds are a drag load. There should be some easy swing feeling in this also, and it should rock at certain moments.
The target should be a normal audience. Not the audiophile feuilleton.
But that's only old me, and I am excited to listen to many more takes and opinions on this.
Good mixing everyone and have blessed hands!

Hello Steeve,
You're welcome on the feedback. To explain (use google translate maybe?):
The vocals (female singing) stand at a lower level, are lower to receive perceptionally, in the mix, other tracks are louder, vocals do not stand out in the mix. The bass and kick are much louder and overpowering the level of the vocals in perception.
Don't start speaking French with me please la basse et drum de basse est plus trop les chantee en le mix finale.

Google translate did not give me an understandable translation.
Something like this :
I made the choice to move back the choruses because of the breath, the pops, and the correction of the notes which are too perceptible.
Best regards,
Steeve

I'm a big fan of Japanese production styles!

I used EQ limiting frequencies, stereoidize and monoidize just some parts of the song, and panning a couple of things.
I tried to reduce any compressor sound-like effect from the original stems with EQ and I reduced harmonics from note F and F#
