I just want to say congratulations to all the competitors this month! All of the entries were wonderfully crafted with a high degree of "listen-ability". Which, in turn, has made critiquing your tracks, as well as giving constructive feedback all that much more difficult. However, I will try my best to do so.

TrojakEW/"Light In A Dark": I felt you portrayed the mood you intended to create with your composition. Neither too dark, nor too light. It's amazing that you created a musical piece without a chord progression that is enjoyable to listen to. I thought your sound/instrument choices were excellent. I especially liked the vocals and the lead guitar part(starting at about 1:07). The mix translated well with both headphones and studio monitors. Each instrument could be heard clearly. Although parts of the piece were repetitive, other parts were varied, and kept my interest.
Doc Jon/"Nature's Therapy": I can hear some Beatles and Elton John influences in this piece. And this was obviously a very pleasant walk! Before I listened to your track, I read about the bagpipes and thought to myself, "this will sound so corny"; but I was completely incorrect. The bagpipes arrangement added some extra spice to your other instrumentation and created an appropriate ending. I really like the dynamic changes in the piano track, as it added an emotional element. The mix sounded excellent on speakers and headphones. The only thing I would have done differently was lower the volume a smidgen on the arpeggios, but the creative panning effect added some depth. The cymbal swells were nice build-ups. I like the way the "hooky" melody was used in different variations/voices throughout.
Elcubano/"Leave": I'm impressed with your use of SynthV. The vocals and the lyrics turned out to be very well done. I really liked the unusual rhythm of the drum track. Although I didn't check your mix's loudness, it didn't sound distorted at all. I liked the lead guitar tone and how your arrangement intertwined with the vocals. The overall mix was appropriate for having the vocals up-front, and I didn't detect any muddiness. Very solid work. I wanted the song to go on, but I understand the time constraints most of us have.
KukoBass/"Summer Evening Walk": Your composition certainly fits the theme this month. The delayed synth/pad you used made me think of the sunset. I enjoyed the laid-back feel of this song, and the melody is well written. Your bass playing is great, but I had trouble hearing it at times(maybe intentional?). Otherwise, I thought the mix was tight.
EsteveCorbera/"Passejada Tots Tres": Listening to your track transported me to another dimension of reality. I envisioned the walk taking place well after dark. The creative panning effects add to the surreal vibe. Hard to believe this is made from mostly modified samples. Very impressive. The only thing about the mix, it felt slightly cluttered in the upper frequencies and was sometimes a bit harsh. Other than that, very well done!
VCA-089/"I Walk Alone": When I listen to this track, I have feelings of anxiety and tension; as if someone is following me, but I can never detect them. It doesn't give me the impression of bringing up the good old days of the past; definitely gives me the feeling of thoughts of troubles in my life. Very creative music and great bass lines. The mix seems to be a little heavy on lower frequencies, and a little light on higher frequencies, most likely intentional for the dark feeling of the music(not to mention the lofi processing). Strong work.
PonySho/"Blacktop Road": What struck me the most about this song was your voice. I think you have a great voice for indie/rock/blues genres. This has an interesting story in the lyrics(albeit cliche), an infectious hook, and well written supporting guitar parts. It's a creative spin on the evening summer walk premise of this competition. I think your statement about the rock mixes with vocals settled into the mix is common, and is a point of preference and intention. That being said, I felt that the overall mix could use a tad more high frequency energy. Nice work.
