Ladies and Gentlemen,

let's talk about Superbooth 2025






The "Superbooth" is a Synthesizer Trade Show/Exhibition which is open for everyone that is only slightly interested in synthesizers and modular studio equipment. You have the chance to get hands-on with presented equipment, you can talk shop, you can join workshops, you can do DIY stuff and you are able to enjoy various concerts on the event grounds. It emerged in 2016 and has constantly evolved in it's consecutive years.

"Superbooth" is currently occupying the the "FEZ" (Freizeit und Erholungszentrum) and it's surrounding "inner yard" areas, the adjacent "Strandbad Wuhlheide" (mainly it's "Strandbühne"/"beach stage"), and also the "Bungalowdorf" - with certain meetup spots seeded throughout Berlin Wulheide and also beyond that.

The "Superbooth" is held every late Spring, and is still a recurring visitor at the FEZ (Freizeit und Erholungszentrum), Berlin (Germany). Europe's biggest, non-profit children-, youth- and family center, located in the south east of Berlin in the district named Oberschöneweide (or more precisely, at the Wuhlheide).

In 2025, the event continues to also occupy additional outdoor areas - which are designated and there will be ticket checks at the main entrances. More space for exhibitors, less volume build-up in corridors and booths, resulting in a generally more relaxed environment. Which is great for taking a break, grabbing a bite, or even have a meetup.

There is a lot of ground to cover, get some comfortable shoes, and consider an extra day for visiting.

Ticket are available through this link

The Superbooth ticket entitles you to access all areas of Superbooth 2025 (10am to 9pm / or 10:00 to 21:00, exhibition from 10am to 7pm / or 10:00 to 19:00), with all exhibitors and concerts. Exceptions do apply for workshops. There are aftershows at the nearby "Waldkater", starting at 9pm / or 21:00 and go until open end.

Admission is free for children up to 15 years old. Young people between 16 and 17 years require a discounted ticket. The tickets do not cover public transportation fees.




IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND SUPERBOOTH 2025 (Status 27-FEB-2025):

Accessing the area:

I highly recommend to travel via public transportation, as parking spots at the event are very limited. Germany dropped their "mask mandates in public transportation" in Q1/2023 . However, it is still recommended to continue wearing (medical) face masks in very crowded areas. Nobody will look at you weird if you do, sames goes for if you don't. Just be reasonable (see S-Bahn Berlin announcement)).

You can access the area from two sides:
Front Side - by Tram (tram station: FEZ - Freizeit und Erholungszentrum)
Back Side - by S-Bahn (S3, train station: Wuhlheide)

Alternative routes:
S-Bahn to Karlshorst (S3) - then take the Tram to the "front side" of the event grounds

Whatever route you plan to take, please triple check that your planned way of traveling is working out for you.


Payment Options:

With the start of the year (2023), the German known Girocard/Maestro (MasterCard) hybrid payment function has ceased. Most bank institutes adapted a Girocard/VPay hybrid system. This was a long overdue step to make shopping in the EU easier. This change now also covers "paying via smartphone apps".

A fair warning to international visitors -- street food vendors or small restaurants in Berlin often work "cash based". Please do not assume that these stores have card payment options, or options like VPay or Apple Pay. Always have an alternative on hand.

Although on the flip side, small restaurants started to adapt "electronic cash" more and more (contactless payment - as part of pandemic regulations). Restaurants and grocery stores that offer these payment option, usually also showcase the VPay logo either at the entrance, or at the cashier. If in doubt, ask beforehand at the venue.

Regulations regarding COVID-19:

Germany lifted their nationwide "SARS-CoV-2-Basisschutzmaßnahmenverordnung" in April 2023. In layman's terms that means that wearing FFP2 masks are no longer obligated, neither will there be any contact tracing until further notice. As long as COVID-19 is still globally declared as "pandemic", It is recommended however, to still continue wearing (medical) face masks in crowded to very crowded areas (events, shopping, public transportation), if you're not feeling too well, and/or keep up with general hygiene rules (as you should always do). Especially if you are an international visitor.

MEETUP AT SUPERBOOTH 2025

There will definitely be a "Youtube Fan Meetup" (has morphed into a bigger community meetup) nearby the "Zirkuszelt" on Saturday around early afternoon. I will take a look and hang out for a bit.

During Superbooth 2024, I was also walking around the event grounds with @Jorgeelalto. Aside from checking out new equipment and talking to various music community fellows and developers, we also met previous Mix Challenge Song Providers (incl. Adrian Parzentny and Gaz Williams). Last event was such a blast with a lot of surprise meetings, I hope there will be more Mix Challenge regulars attending as visitor or even exhibitor.


If you want to hang out in general, then please either comment here in this thread, or reach out on Discord.

I will randomly check both the forum and our Discord Server while being at the event (also keep an eye on the Superbooth 2025 sub-thread on Discord). But it's best to plan things beforehand. The sooner people make up their mind, the better the planning for everyone interested. If more Mix Challenge community members roam around the event grounds, we can figure out a fixed meeting spot.


How to find "Mister Fox" at the event?

Look out for either a black hoodie with the Mix Challenge logo at the top left chest, or a T-shirt with the Mix Challenge logo on the left arm sleeve.

Great to see this keeps going, I would love to go check out this year's U-he booth with whatever prototype Zebra 3 version they bring. Unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to attend most probably. I will definitely update you if I can visit

A quick update - also to bring this more in focus again.


The Superbooth staff updated the Events Time Table. There will be Lectures, Presentations, Specials, Workshops and Concerts every day from 09:00 am to 21:00 (and open end, since it's the "Aftershow" location). The Youtube Fan Meetup is also confirmed for Saturday, 14:00 again - you will also find me there.

Additionally, the Exhibitors Floor Plan has been updated as well. There are still some spots missing here and there. However, you can check which company of interest are present, and where they they are located.

It is highly recommended to take a look beforehand and make a bit of a plan. There is a lot going on during those three days, and it's not easy to make room for everything. Plus, possible weather shifts, chance meetups (that can change your plans), etc.



A word on the weather:

As of this moment, it looks like as if the heat doesn't climb above 20deg C and it will remain mostly overcast around 15 to 17 deg C. Forecasts state a chance of rain might be low, but better be safe than sorry. Please come prepared, maybe drag along a hoodie or jacket.



Finally... if you aren't at the event, fear not, I will be posting again on our Discord server, most notably the Superbooth 2025 sub-thread. There I will post photos of interesting gear, keep you up-do-date where you can find me, and engage in general conversation as well. Please have a look.

Just two things:
1) the connection between Baumschulenweg and Schöneweide is covered with a "Train Replacement Service". Please either travel via Karlshorst or Wuhlheide.

2) The Frogs are back... due to this, the house closes at 19:00

Day 2 of Superbooth 2025.

Just some info for you folks
1) I highly(!) recommend bringing along some hearing protection. Some rooms are insanely loud this year (due to chatter on top of music on top of chatter)

2) Stay hydrated... drag along a bottle or thermos, you can refill them at the restrooms

3) Take frequent breaks! Your feet will thank you for that

And since it's still a bit chilly outside, don't forget a light jacket or hoodie. Outside it's a touch too cold, inside (and depending on the room) it's in places too warm and humid.

Final day at Superbooth!


And there is never enough time see everything and talk to everyone.

Speaking of talking... today is the "Youtuber Meetup" (general hang out at this point that happened to be with a lot of Youtubers). At 14:00 at the "Circus Tent" (in the "small forest area" of the event grounds). You can find/meet a lot of people there.

Including, but not limited to, BoBeats, Venus Theory (he said he'd drop by), Dom Sigalas, "Doctor Mix" (Claudio Passavanti), maybe even Nick Batt from Sonic State (if he joins for more than 30 Seconds) and many more. And if they are still at the event, Hainbach and AudioPilz.

Just drop by, say hello, have a nice chat. This is usually like a "flashmob" for about 30-45 minutes.


Else... I'm still roaming around the event - wish I had more time to check out every tent. But I only have so much time/energy at my disposal.
