Ladies and Gentlemen, an update and friendly reminder:
I decided to extend the SWC017 submission period to Sunday, 27th January 2019 to the usual 11:59pm GMT+1/CET. That is 4 extra days! The Global Countdown has been updated accordingly, and the social media reminders have been sent out.

This is a one-time exception and I will address a possible future change of the SWC deadline in the upcoming 2019 Survey (handles separately). So in order to make the game successful and have more than 8 participants, please do spread the word wherever you can.

A couple of examples:
reddit (thread A, B and C)
Facebook (see most recent post)
Twitter (see this post)

Please also spread the word wherever you can. On your go-to forum, chatroom, newsletter, podcast, etc.
Any help is appreciated :tu:

As of this moment, 4 days left to submit your production.

For this track i used magix indepedence vst as a sampler.
Most instruments were created by looping some waveforms from audio samples. Apart from these, were created the drums and guitar.
For the drums i took my drums sample and chopped in some places and used it.
i "don't speak very well or at all the guitar language" :) to play it. So i used donkeyt's guitar sample, adding some effects and slowed down its
tempo a bit.
So here are the samples used for instruments:

bass - olly audio, mix samples-036.wav

drums- my samples, chill out drums.wav

bell sound- General WAV tones 44-16, sin_440Hz_-6dBFS_0.3s.wav

synth strings- KyleJCrb, Pa-tingVocalFoley.wav

space pad-FixInTheMix, sustainedflute.wav

robotic voice-Mister Fox, Construction Site Deep Drill Stomp 1.wav

old synth stab-evk, sh201.wav

arpeggiated synth- my samples, synth keys.wav

guitar- donkeyt, swc-donkeyt-accguitarloop2-79bpm.wav

Thank you for the extension.

I was planning to submit something but things got in the way and could not work on it. I might actually be able to get it done by the deadline now.

I'm ready to submit my track, but I have have a quick question:

Do the tracks get downloaded or are they just streamed from a file preview? I have DropBox, but the preview encoding is terrible (not that it will make much difference in my sound quality).

As long as the material is downloadable in the end, things should be fine.

Welcome to all new participants. Just a heads up - we're in the last 48 hours of the submission period.

Here is my entry. I tangled myself in composition because I tried to combine patterns in different time signatures :grudge: . So it may sound kind of weird regarding rhythm. I have used only 3 samples to make all instruments. Most of time spend on simulating different behaviour per note velocity using Form internal effects like lowpass, FM, shaper, multiplying and so on. No pre-processing. A journey back to eighties. Almost.

FL Studio 20.0.5
12 instances of Native Instruments Form

SAMPLES USED:
chill out drums (MarkS) 6x
(plucked piano, hihat, snare rim, concert bassdrum, kick, snare)

A friendly reminder:
We're in the last 24 hours of the submission period. If you've been sitting on the fence up until now, now is the time to submit it.

So far we have 5 entries.

If we get 3 more, we can have a full Winners Podium this month. If we exceed 10, then I consider this a good start for 2019. :phones:

Please spread the word as much as you can.
