Hello my friends!

Here is my version for round 2.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YLUXNi ... sp=sharing

I made some changes looking for an improvement in the musicality and the feeling of energy progression in the music. I hope I managed to deliver that.

I improved the kick equalization. I also relocated the simulated kick element in the first part of the song. I tried to improve the volume on the vocals, mainly in the less intensity regions, regulating the amount of ambience effect in these parts and added a second delay effect, with feedback. I adjusted the volume of some percussive elements in the final part, looking for an increase in strength and presence.

Thank you, Joshua, for his contribution to the community. It was a good challenge and learning to have worked with several layers of percussive elements, mainly in the search for a balance between them and with the rest of the elements of the music. It is!

Hi,
I’m proud to be on round 2!

Some changes made:

- Vox: Some cut to low-midrange.
- ”Fake Guitar:” moved more to background
- Paranoid-part: more automation, more attitude to percussion, less vocal delay.

Hey there, hey Joshua

here is my mix for round 2:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/17baTud ... sp=sharing

-A few compressor setting adjustments to tighten things up
-Some EQ adjustments on synth and guitar bus to create more space for the vocals
-Some EQ adjustments on the delay and reverb to create even more space for the vocals
-Some automation adjustments

I also deleted the auto pan you did not like @ 01:31. I didn't change anything else, I only focused on the things from your feedback.

Hi, how's it going?

It is the first time that I participate in this contest, could you make a brief criticism about my mix in order to improve my songs?

Thanks for your time.

Thank you Joshua for the feedback! Here's the updated version with requested slight tonal changes. Sub is now a bit louder as well as tiny boost on the high frequencies.

Hi!

Thanks for the feedback. Here is the latest version of my mix.
I didn't do a lot of changes, but only edited some details. For example, I tried adding a little bit of punch boosting the parallel drum bus and increasing attack time a little bit. Also checked some balances. I haven't done more tuning in the vocals, since I like the intimacy (and frankly, I did not have the time the last few days for big changes).
Hope you like it. Enjoy.

All the best,
Tobias

Good day.

Since I'm not really into that kind of music genre it was really hard to figure out what kind of disappointment was at the end of the song. I apologize if I'm not feeling this particular song the way Joshua did. So my work on R2 was just lowing midi slap bass and pushing up percussion with organs.

It's important to say that I can do some really nice things that can give this song new "wows" in some critical parts but this gonna be rearrangement and due to the rules I can't do that.

So this is the R2 mix: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1emIRk6 ... sp=sharing

I had some tech problems so I didn't proceed with any LUFS check, sorry about that.

I understand that every mix judgment is subjective but at least I give it a try. Greetings, from Russia with love.

Hiya

I made the requested edits and after bringing up the percussion in the ending, i thought the percussion in the rest of the track could use a little bit more attack to keep the relative balance between the two sections, this allowed me to add a tiny bit of warmth to the bass, having the overall effect that the edges of the vocal sound have been softenned. All of this benifits the overall sound in my opinion, and is relatively subtle.

Cheers,

Square
