The guitar solo and frippertronics are from the one and only Robert Fripp of King Crimson (the guitar on Bowie's Heros track and album). The sax is Mel Collins also currently of the band King Crimson.patrlord wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 12:09 CETWow that one's a real gem, thanks for sharing it !! There are so many different shades and balances between the instruments, and structural changes like a story with different chapters.Mark Andrews wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 22:37 CET
https://youtu.be/1GK1W0yQOSo No-man (Steven Wilson & Tim Bowness) Where the string feel came from and longing vibe.
I knew Steven Wilson (the composer and mixer of No-man material) in the 90s but have since lost contact. He has since sold out 3 consecutive days at the London Royal Albert Hall, 2018. You would probably also like some of his solo work, lots of it is epic! https://youtu.be/u4XevlloPY4
New work is more electronic and pop. https://youtu.be/zSvdLcS62ZM Another track has the voice of Elton John reciting a long shopping list!
I listen to all types of music but my own musical projects are usually influenced more by the sound genres of noise pop, dream pop and shoegaze.
