I appreciate the positive words.

I can definitely get your license requests sorted out. However, I can't do that without your help. Please read the "license selection" paragraph of post #105 again, then get in touch with me (via PM).

I already handled @OlliH's request.

@Mister Fox

When entering a songwriting challenge, is it allowed for somebody to submit their own composition PLUS collaborate on somebody else's composition?

Thanks!

This is covered in the Rule Book, @PonySho.

The TL;DR answer is "yes".

Important parts are in bold letters...

  • Please do not (re)upload one of your finished and already released productions. You can revisit an old production of yours, or remake/renew a several week-old work-in-progress. Including something you started during another songwriting game, but you were limited on time and/or allowed equipment. The general idea is to create something new and unique within the framework of this Songwriting Competition. It wouldn't be fair to all other participants.
  • One person can participate with either one entry, or with one entry and/or (if the creative output is that high) multiple collaborative efforts. However, only one main entry per participant - no multiple entries of the same song/production but with a slightly different mix!
  • Every submission must be properly tagged/documented with: used instruments/sample sets, players' and singers' (especially collaborations!), name of the composer (please also add that info to the ID tag of the audio file!), etc
  • ...

We had collaborations before. In fact, this month's entry by @A Future in Noise is a songwriting / mixing collaboration with @BenjiRage.

I'm curious what you will come up with. :thinking:

Perfect. Thanks for confirming the rules about collabs.

I've no idea what a potential collab will sound like for this challenge - I've offered to sing for a few of the contributors - particularly those that had comments about their songs sounding like they needed vocals. We'll see!
